The beginning was some 37 years ago , pulling my lawn mower behind my bicycle , quickly growing into a business. While attending countless horticultural classes and obtaining a BA degree; Adelphi University , the passion for landscaping grew into design and hardscapes . The nature of landscaping is limitless as new and exciting varieties of plants and landscape materials are introduced to the market each year making our jobs to design just as exciting.
Foundation Plantings
Have a landscape design for the perimeter of your home with your preference in mind. Your preferred seasonal colors, with your preference of stone choices. Stay formal and manicured with Boxwoods and evergreens . Or have a natural open theme using plants in their natural growth habit. OR LET US IMAGINE FOR YOU! WE plant based on environmental factors ; sun exposure, soil conditions, water, salt exposure etc. giving you years of thriving plants.
Privacy hedges
The highly demanded privacy hedge is planted based on amount of screening desired. Privacy can be obtained with a "soldier " course of matching variety of plants creating a more dense wall. Or more decorative and seasonal screen can be created with a combination of different plants and trees for more interest.
Hardscapes
Pictured to the left is a driveway, patio and walkway completed by Anthony Thomas Landscapes 10 years ago. The job was constructed almost completely on sand, The job has since been struck by "Sandy", completely submerged by water , and to this day has no failures. Today's masonry supplies allows us endless possibilities with a wide selection of textures and colors to choose from.
